[Facebook] bugs -- hyperlink

I've seen lots of bugs on FB but seriously this is the funniest one.  A friend of mine wrote a message on her friend's wall "Awwww...did you have a blureberry muffin?" and the www...did part became a link (you know, blue text deorated with underline). LOL.

[Facebook] notification

Facebook sometimes acts really weird, i.e mysterious html tags, missing sentences after a space, etc. and I have to say these 2 bugs are actually pretty serious problems, guess that was why facebook fixed them immediately :). The topic I'm going to discuss today isn't critical, to be honesty, but it could be pretty annoying to heavy/addictive users.

There are three main ways to get FB notifications: emails, mobile phones, and your fb page. I noticed a weird thing that I usually got notifications from my emails and phone way earlier than my fb account. I am sometimes confused about the chronological sequence-- did I get this message first? Was it a modified version? Did I miss any conversation??? The confusion can be called as chronological inconsistency. Our mind perceives a fact once it gets a new piece of information. However the inconsistency between the timeline of difference pieces of information confuses the brain and makes it wonder if it misses anything. As a user, we usually expect to see immediate feedback at the actual site, and a confirmation from the 3rd party tool, like emails. Like I said it's usually not a big deal, what's the big deal if you miss anything on facebook :p. But what if it's something else. Say you're submitting your midterm project to a system with a similar notification system like Facebook. You successfully uploaded online but in your inbox you got an email said you failed because the size was too big. You however haven't saw any notification on the system, but you just tried to attach the file again in case you did fail. This time you did get a notification online said your attached is too big and you also got an email said the same thing, but which one came first? Did you fail because you upload it twice so that there was no enough space? Or you failed to upload it both the first and second time. Trust me when the deadline is approaching, this can be a huge frustration.
